All Durham Parents are Invited to attend an Important Town Hall Meeting:

Town Hall Meeting:
Keeping Families Safe –
THC, Marijuana, & Driving Stoned: What We Don’t Know Can Hurt Us

Wednesday, January 16, 2019
7:00pm – 9:00pm
NorthStar Church Kennesaw, Georgia
3413 Blue Springs Road Cobb County

This Town Hall Meeting concerns:
• The threat that marijuana (THC) impaired driving poses to public safety
• Panelists discussing what is myth and what is fact regarding marijuana impairment
• Highlighting the practices of other states that are successfully addressing this issue
• What we can do to help prevent marijuana-impaired fatalities and injuries in Georgia by improved our understanding, data collection and reporting

Your Presence and Input are Vital! Data from Georgia motor vehicle crash reports is significantly lacking on marijuana related DUI and fatality statistics, but prevalence information from states with more robust tracking leaves no doubt that many Georgians have lost and are losing loved ones because of marijuana – perhaps without even knowing it.

Panelists – • Matt Myers, President, 7 Arrow Enterprises – National Expert on Impaired Driving • A parent who lost their child to marijuana because of an auto accident • Representative from GA AAA (American Automobile Association) (invited) • Representative from GA MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) (invited)
