Book Donation Drive

The Durham Library Learning Commons invites Durham Middle School families to join in the 2021 Project LIT Cobb & Marietta #books2keep Summer Initiative! Project LIT is a national, grassroots literacy movement focused on promoting a love of reading and eliminating book deserts in communities across America. You can help by donating gently used books–Pre-K through Adult–between 4/12/21 – 5/28/21. On face-to-face days, large donations may be dropped off outside Durham’s front office, and/or DMS students may bring smaller quantities to the Library. Thank you in advance for your generosity and for helping cultivate a community of readers. Email Media Specialist, Erin Baker with any questions: Erin.Baker@cobbk12.org.

This is the learning environment you will be entering your daughter in at our Lady Hoya Summer Skills Camp.
All skill levels and basketball experience are welcome at this camp and every effort will be made to place your child with players of similar skills and experience.  This camp will be led by Head Coach Terry Kemp.  He, along with his staff and returning varsity players, will be teaching your child the following basketball skills:

  • Foundational Fundamentals; dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, player movement
  • Secondary and Weak Hand Dribbling
  • Setting Screens
